Hi im 13 years old and I feel on the cement the other day and Ive got water on it (in it) the doc. said it would go away without drainage but didnt say when it would go away. does anyone know how long it takes because so far its been a week.

I just rescued a little female betta from walmart >8[ The only tank that I can put her in was formerly my ghost shrimp brood tank, its a 1 gallon and has three pregnant ghost shrimp in it. I will be moving the shrimp to a different tank tomorrow evening, but the betta is in the tank with them now. I guess my main worry is will the shrimps har her? She's about 1 in long, and the shrimp are about 1.5 in long. Will she be ok until tomorrow? Also, are ghost shrimp known to jump out of the tank if the water is shallower, say 5 in deep?

Recently my truck has started to shake around 45 to 50 mph and seems to have trouble slipping into gear. Then as I get to 60 to 70 mph it does the same thing. When i push the overdrive on it seems to relieve the problem a little bit. Also when I accelerate hard I hear a loud clicking noise that may be coming from my drive line. I also noted the temperature goes up a little while the gears are slipping. I dont have the exact temp. Do I have a serious problem or is there a simple check I can do before taking this vehicle to a pro? Thanks!

Can a property management company refuse to process an application because of a dismissed shoplifting charge?

13 years ago I went to a Wal-Mart with two friends; one of which, unbeknownst to me, pocketed some makeup. After checking out and walking through the front doors, all three of us were "apprehended", questioned and subsequently charged with 5th degree theft, a misdemeanor. The charge against me (and the other non-participating friend) was dismissed after the security camera showed that I wasn't involved in the crime but it still shows on my record. I have absolutely no criminal record outside of that and, in fact, have obtained an insurance license and been trusted with highly confidential information for the past 7 years. However, I recently applied for an apartment at a local rental community and they chose "to stop processing" my application due to the dismissed theft charge. Their rental policy (which is on the back of the app) states that persons with criminal convictions may be denied but states nothing about dismissed charges. I'm a bit upset about the situation because the incident was nothing more than the clic not-truly-knowing-your-friends scenario and it occurred when I was a teenager. I'm a grown adult now with a solid employment and rental history and this is the first time the dismissed charge has caused any negative consequences. My question is: can the property management company stop processing my application even though I meet the criteria of their rental policy?

its funny sounds like your appendix a bit too. but i have never had my gal bladder removed, if i were you i wouldnt wait.i have had plenty of surgeries, (brain tumor removed) and my doctor said to me is this ...if its just typical pain you will know, but if it feels worse and more and its making you worry go straight to the hospital..i had one incident after surgery and im glad i went to doctors.sometimes they are in surgery and cant call back for hours, you know your body and whats the worse that happens you find out your ok.but at least you can rest.. please dont wait go to local hospital and if you cant drive have someone take you or ambulance.. i hope everything turns out ok...

I have CP from birth. And, this is going to sound weird and maybe even fake, but I can read really really fast with 100% comprehension. Usually when people hear fast, they think like 1,000 wpm or something, which is for sure a good rate. But, I can read at 5,000-7,000 wpm. I look at the 1st and last letter of each line and that "counts" as reading it for some reason. I don't know if this works for "normal" people or is it some kind of gift. The thing is, with my CP I have a learning disability with memory and have to read things many times to remember it. But, reading slow never helped. It's like I remember just as well as 200wpm as I do at 6,000 wpm. I obviously understand what I am reading because I take "comprehension" test and score perfectly on them after 10-15 reads. I am just wondering if this is some kind of "gift" or is it normal to be able to read so fast and still comprehend. It's funny now because reading it 10-15 times at this rate is about that amount of times if takes to the average person to read it 1-3 times. WHich is awesome for me since I am going back to school.

Perplexed with the behavior of my male Betta fish...he seems fine one minute, and near death the next minute?

This male crowntail Betta is housed in a filtered, heated 5.5 gallon tank. He was very active and happy-acting (swimming constantly, exploring) when I first got him. I've had him about 6 months and he has grown since I've had him, so I am guessing he was not very old when I got him. About three months ago, I added a ghost shrimp and a few tiny tetras to his tank. My Betta promptly killed and ate all these critters. Then, shortly after this, he seemed to get very sick (stopped eating, swimming, etc.) I almost humanely decided to put him out of his misery, but suddenly overnight he seemed to come back to life, eating and swimming around. But, now he has shining moments and other moments he just lays on the bottom of the tank on his side. Just last night, he was playfully swimming and eating a frozen pea from my hand and acting all chipper, and now he looks dead...any ideas?

I think the best thing to do is talk to some RMTs in your area. Mage therapists in Canada are in a whole different league than in the US,much more education. As far as burnout,what is burnout? I got interested in mage therapy 25 years ago when a very talented therapist helped my wife overcome extreme low back pain,in one treatment. This is after MONTHS of unsuccessful chiropractic treatments that only made her worse. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone with their pain issues. Who saved Dillons on Kitchen Nightmares: Gordon Ramsey, Martin Hyde or Vikas Khanna?

In this episode, Chef Gordon Ramsey attempts to correct all the problem in an Indian/America cuisine restaurant called Dillon. From the start, things just seem to go wrong. As Ramsey sits down to try out the food, he is confused by the multiple menus, one serving American food and one serving Indian food. He orders a few vegetarian appetizers and soon discovers that they are no vegetarian. Then what he thinks is beef that he ordered, turns out to be lamb. The kitchen claims that they were all flustered by his pressence. Next he goes in to tour the kitchen, only to find it in total disarray. The Indian chef speaks no English. The store has three managers, all which seem to be no help, especially Martin, the general manager. He can always be found on his phone or sleeping on a bench with a female employee combing her fingers through his hair. That night's dinner service is total chaos with people having to wait a long time for their food. The next day, Ramsay tours more of the restaurant and finds the downstairs room that is full of roaches, rotten food, rats, and flies. He is horrified by what he has seem and takes it out on Martin because he should know about all the rotten food and take care of it. After seeing this, he immediately closes down the kitchen and potential saving the lives of the dinner that are in the restaurant. He is also extremely upset that he was served that food yesterday, especially the bag of lettuce that had flies in it that he ate for lunch. Ramsay takes the staff to his restaurant to show them what a kitchen should look like. Ramsay then brings in a team of professionals to complete steam clean the whole restaurant and then he completely redesigns the dining room. The staff returns the next day to a new menu created with the help of the top Indian Cuisine chef in New York, and a whole new look the the dining room. Problems soon arise during the dinner service because they aren't used to being busy. Food takes a long time to be prepared and then goes out cold. Ramsay is confused as to what all of the managers are there for, because no one is helping. Finally the floor manager steps in, mainly because of Ramsay telling him that it is his time to shine, and saves the rest of the dinner shift. The staff is elated at how much money they made finally. At the end of the week, Gordon sits the owner of the restaurant down and tells him that he needs to get rid of Martin, the general manager, because he is just taking up space and not helping at all. Martin over hears this and loses his cool. Ramsay is finally glad to see that he cares about something. Martin ends up quitting and the owner ends up hiring the Indian chef that was helping out for the week.

My pain clinic has a new Nurse Practitioner. I saw her at my regular appointment yesterday because my doctor was out of town. She wrote my regular Oxycontin prescription (40 mgs) and upped my breakthrough meds to OxyFast Solution. Both of these are Schedule II medications. It was always my undertsanding that Nurse Practitioners could not write anythign stronger than a Schedule III medication. The pharmacy filled these no problem. What gives? Why is she different? But.. one month later, its only been my husband and I buying the milk (8 big jugs to be exact) and 3 things of er... And they are using them.. but never buying them. I told my one roommate she had to buy the next milk and she said ok.. but.. we've been out of milk for 4 days now and she hasnt bought it yet, and she just stays at her boyfriends house, comes home for about 30 minutes a day to eat (using our milk) then is gone.. so she nver goes and buys it.... How do I Create a "fill effects" background without using preset colors in PowerPoint 2007?

I had always used powerpoint 2003 or 2004(?) before... I now have a new laptop and consequently PP version. In the old PP all I had to do was click *format* *backround* *fill effects* and then i could choose my colors for gradient(the fade outs). Now I click format background and there is a fill effects option however under gradient there is no option to choose my own colors, it only contains the preset ones... which are extremely ugly... just sayin'. :) HELP!

Filing a tax return by yourself?

I have a question - my husband and I filed our taxes jointly, but instead of going through a company to do it, we did it ourselves and mailed it in. It was a simple tax return, no deductions or itemization or anything. Well, my worry is that what if we made an error or something on it (obviously not on purpose), what would happen then? Would they send it back for us to correct or would they correct it themselves? Would we have to pay any penalties and fines on it? I'm just really worried since this is our first time ever doing it like this - we did owe taxes and we sent a money-order in along with the tax return. Thanks so much! I'm thinking about purchasing the Rosetta Stone language learning software but I want to know if anyone who has used it finds it easier to learn than sitting in a clroom. When can I call Police to have children court ordered back to me after he has broken custody papers?

I'm going to make a very long story short. In 2007, the judge completely reversed custody and I became the Sole Physical custodial parent. One of the reasons he lost them was not letting me have contact with my children. My phone calls were put on speakerphone and if i even started to raise my voice, he would say you aren't being nice to me so you can't talk to them now and he would hang up. So judge didn't like ALOT of things that he had done since 1st custody hearing in 1999. I will also state that he has played mind games with my children for yrs! Anything from telling them that I was not allowed to take them outside of their house to discussing child support and lying to them and say that I did not pay it. Since he lost custody he has went 4 years not excercising his visitation. He was never consistent in calling them and even went 6 mos one time not calling them. He has not sent bday or xmas presents in 4 yrs as well, not even a card. I have kept letters that my daughters had written to him.... yelling at him for not calling. I even have the email where he tells them that they chose to live with me and that hurt him very very bad and that is why he doesn't call them all the time. Present time he came to the state of Iowa to excercise his visitation and tells me he is taking them back to AZ and will bring them back before school starts. I will not tell you who paid for his visitation but I will say he also has not paid a dime of child support in 4 yrs so he had the money to do this before. He sends his wife and my sister come to pick them up. They left 6TH of July and it is agreed that they are home by Aug 14th. I write on 3 different papers this information and their medical release authorization then I have all 3 of us sign it and each take copy. I thought that I had covered all bases, and i never thought that they would actually break custodial papers. My children are in az for 3 days and it starts. They are being coached on what to say...you can even hear the whispering. They also refuse to let my sister see the kids, and his wife says she never signed anyting. My phone calls are being put on speakerphone and when they are on facebook.....one of them is sitting right there watching everything. I start hearing that my mom is getting them a lawyer and we are going back to court. His wife even lies to me about their whereabouts, so they could go visit my mom which i at this point forbid and have that cities police ready if kids are with my mom. This goes on now for a month. I do not have the money to go down there and get my kids and was reured that i had nothing to worry about. It is Aug 7th now and they still have not given my a return itinery, matter of fact my children are still saying to their friends that they are living in AZ now....cuz their dad said. He also gave my mother permission to take them to CA without my permission. When I sent the cops to his house to do a well child check up. The officer did not even ask for any paperwork and took his word. I will also point out that the police did not call me back either. When he 1st broke our written agreement I called cops....that piece of paper would not stand up in court. Basically I have been told that unless I go down to AZ there is nothing I can do. I tried to say that the custody papers is a court order and that they woud be enforcing a court order. My custody papers state that I have Sole Physical Custody with him having long distance visitation rights pursuant to "The Mohave County Custody & Visitation Guidelines." I would also like to point out that in those papers the judge also states that "clearly father has a problem with mothers contact with children" So children aresupposed to be home in a week and I have heard nothing. If he is planning on keeping children can I somehow have my children court ordered back to iowa??? I have been panicked for a month now! But when can i call the police and say he is clearly not planning on having my children back go get them??? I need advice on this. Custody court took place in AZ and was told that AZ had jurisdiction. Also I tried to contact legal aid, I was told they could not help me because there was a conflict of interest. So either he went to them for advice and services, but he doesn't have a lawyer. I'm sure if he had lawyer he wouldn't be breaking custody/visitation. What do i do? How do i get my kids back in iowa ASAP??????

Malcolm X paid for his crimes in prison. His speeches after joining the Nation of Islam, whether you find them hateful, racist or whatever, where exercising freedom of speech. After his break from the Nation of Islam he embraced universal freedom for all oppressed people black, brown, white etc. There is no record of him committing a crime after his conversion to Islam. Some just spread that because when he said 'By any means necessary' it scared the crap out of people.

Why must parents-to-be have the urge to name their babies odd names?

Odin was my great great great gradfther name so i dont find that odd at all but i can see where you are going with this.. everyone has their own opinion as to whats weird and whats not. Personally i would much rather be named Yuki, Odin, Aiaa, Kura, Ke and Senna over Elizabeth, Marie, Abigail, Alice or Charlotte. When I open my voice, my voice very often shakes and sounds nervous. I am nervous because my voice sounds nervous so it is self-reinforcing. I find that if I breathe deeper, then it is less bad. It is really annoying. Would breathing exercises stop this? Strengthen the diaphragm during exhale?

Please HELP prevent Parental Child Abduction?

I'm trying to prevent my ex-spouse from abducting our minor child to a foreign country (my ex-spouse's homeland). I was in Court representing myself because I can't afford an attorney. My ex-spouse petitioned the Court with a request to obtain a pport for our minor child so that my ex-sopuse can take our minor child to a foreign country "on vacation". Despite all the evidence I presented in Court that my ex-spouse is at high risk for keeping our minor child in this foreign country (homeland of my ex-spouse) permanently the judge still granted my ex-spouse permission to obtain a pport for our minor child! I'd like to appeal the judge's ruling, but since I can't afford legal counsel, I don't know what else to do. I would very much appreciate it if anyone would kindly please guide me to other areas that may help me either overturn the judge's ruling or somehow legally prevent my ex-spouse from obtaining a pport for our minor child, despite the judge's ruling granting my ex-spouse permission to do so?
