Was it fair for the Mayor of NY to blast Plaxico Buress before he had all of the facts?

The mayor publically blasted an athlete with rather strong language before even the police had all the facts. Was this fair? Where was the mayors morale outrage when the governor was caught solicting prostitutes? Where was his stern scolding when Wall St. was raping it's stockholders? He never had a word to say about them but he shot off his big mouth just as fast as he could load it when it came to blasting an entertainer. What are your thoughts?
