Scratched heatsink...am I in for trouble?

if it was the heat sink that got scratched then thats no problem at all, all they do is disperse the heat away from your cpu, but if it was the cpu that got scratched there is a chance that there could be a problem, most likely u wont have one if it was only the top however. the only true way to find out is fire it up
