Is this true?

Is it true that hamsters can survive - and even enjoy - being placed into a microwave? I have heard from 2 people that a great way to dry a hamster after bathing it, is to place it in a microwave for 3 minutes on defrost. I dont want to harm my hamster in any way, but if little Snuggles would enjoy a quick warm up in the micro then I dont see the problem... has anyone tried this?
