Poly-cystical Ovarian Syndrome and getting pregnant?
Yes, women with PCOS can have issues with conception because of the hormone levels. If treated properly, however, then you should be fine. The metaformin is really good for dealing with the insulin resistence which can lead to some women not ovulating and thus not having periods. It sounds like for you that is the case and therefore you're receiving the treatment you need. I don't have insulin resistence with my PCOS, but I do have low progesterone and don't ovulate regularly without help but I also managed to conceive by taking Clomid to ovulate and progesterone supplements to maintain the pregnancy. Right now I'm 13 weeks along. Given your history of prior conceptions, your odds are really good although it may be more difficult this round given the changes in your body and your hubby's procedure. Baby dust to you!
