In the history of England who has faced the most persecution?

from the reign of Henry VIII & the founding of the church of England it swung back & forth between Catholic & Protestant religion's depending on the ruling monarch & in reality continues today in Northern Ireland where an employer may ask you questions about your schooling which could indicate your beliefs, certainly all of your list have been persecuted against but i think the number of people killed falls into the protestant catholic swings of monarchy.
