Why is it bad/unhealthy to lose more than a few pounds per week?

Well, I hate to tell you that if you are lifting weights to build muscle you will NOT go far by eating salads alone. You need protein and carbs!! You won't see any results by just eating salads.... Sorry to say. Why would you want to lose 10 to 12 pounds if you are already 135 pounds? That seems a little thin anyways for a guy of 5'4'', especially if you are doing cardio and lifting. You will most likely gain weight since you will be lifting weight. Also, I hope those 1 - 2 bowls a day are huge bowls because you are definitely not getting all the nutrients you need to be lifting + cardio.
